BioMult - Development of a Bio Multi Parameter Tool for in situ Measurements in Water Bodies and aquatic Test Systems

The project aims to develop a suitable measurement technology in combination with an assessment strategy that allows a real-time detection of anthropogenic changes of water bodies and to distinguish these from natural fluctuations. The technique will allow to detect changes of the current status of a water body or test system, for example in response to the discharge of chemicals. To this end, a device will be developed that automatically takes water samples at various points in the water and analyses the water on the density, composition and photosynthetic activity of the algal community.
