Hermann-Willkomm-Foundation

The non-profit Hermann Willkomm Foundation was established in 1982 by Wilhelmine Willkomm to commemorate her late husband Hermann Willkomm. The aim of the Hermann Willkomm Foundation is to promote scientific research, in particular, the support and promotion of students, doctoral candidates and post-doctoral students in the natural sciences departments of the Goethe University Frankfurt and the Technical University Dresden.

All students and post-doctoral students in the Faculty of Biosciences can apply to the Dean's Office for an allowance for travel expenses and fees for conferences, congresses and research trips throughout the year; grants for accommodation, meals and daily allowances are not paid. Preference is given to applicants who do not receive third-party funding. Travel costs should be kept as low as possible. The application must be made in due time before the start of the journey. Complete financing of the trip is not possible.

If you would like to submit an application, please contact the dean's office chaouch@bio.uni-frankfurt.de in advance to obtain information and the forms necessary for the application and settlement.
