is currently available. The position is initially for 3 years, but can be prolonged for up to 3 additional years under the regulations of the Law of Hesse.

We are looking for a scientist dedicated toward high level research, which includes an individual experimental project as well as guiding of students to build up a scientific carrier in the field of plant organelle or RNA biology. The applicant should have experience documented by publications in one of the areas „Membrane and Organelle Dynamics“ (LOEWE-SP DynaMem), „Protein Translocation Across Membranes“ (SFB807), or „Ribosome biogenesis/RNA processing“ (SFB902). The colleague will have the opportunity to work as managing postdoc of one subgroup with the according research aim and will have the opportunity to teach (4 LV) at Bachelor- and Master level at the Department of Biology. The group „Molecular Cell Biology of Plants“ is an international team composed of students, postdocs and assistants, which is dedicated to the analysis of the homeostasis and evolutionary development of cyanobacteria and plants. The group is engaged in many local, national and international collaborations. The laboratory language is English. Frankfurt as one of the most international cities in Germany that provides a very attractive surrounding for foreign PostDocs. Within the department and through its association with the Buchmann Institute for Molecular Life Sciences (BMLS), the Frankfurt Center for Advanced Light- Microscopy (FCAM), the Frankfurt Center for Electron-Microscopy (FCEM), the Frankfurt Isotope and Element Research Center (FIERCE) and the Frankfurt Institute for Advanced Studies (FIAS), all required infrastructures for a successful research are available.

A successful graduation in science and PhD examination in a relevant subject are prerequisite. In case the PhD examination is still ahead, the final examination is expected before commencement of service.
