36th conference on Plant Population Biology - PopBio 2024

We warmly welcome you to the 36th annual conference on Plant Population Biology, also known as PopBio 2024! Our conference will be held at the Riedberg Campus of Goethe University Frankfurt in Frankfurt am Main, Germany, from the 2nd to the 4th of May 2024.

Our international conference is an annually recurring event fostered by the specialist group 'Plant Population Biology' (also known as PopBio) of the Ecological Society of Germany, Austria and Switzerland
and hosts about one hundred participants each year. Oral and poster contributions cover a wide range of subdisciplines within plant ecology, such as population ecology and population genetics, functional plant ecology, evolutionary ecology, and restoration and conservation biology. Important aims are to offer a stage for early-career scientists and to promote scientific exchange among participants.

We have invited five distinguished keynote speakersElena HamannSeverin IrlRuben MillaHendrik Poorter and Marina Semchenko - who will introduce individual sessions. A conference dinner is planned for Friday the 3rd of May 2024 in the famous Sachsenhausen district in Frankfurt. On Saturday the 4th of May, after the official closing of the conference at 13:00, we offer an
excursion to Monte Scherbelino, a former waste dump that has been turned into a nature reserve and is slowly building up an exciting portfolio of biodiversity.

We hope this attracts you to participate and we look forward to welcoming you soon in Frankfurt! You can register and submit your abstract here
The deadline for abstract submission is the 8th of March.

If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to contact us through
popbio2024@bio.uni-frankfurt.de.
