Research

Our main focus is in the neurobiology of mechanosensory systems of mammals and arthropods, in particular of hearing organs and the neuronal processing of auditory information.

Experimental approaches include anatomical techniques (conventional histology, immunocytochemistry), electrophysiological recordings (extracellular and intracellular), biomechanical methods (acoustic measurements, laser interferometry) and behavioral studies.
