Research interest

I am interested in approaches for straightening the fields of ecology and evolution. My recent work focuses on assessing the roles of selection and constraints on intraspecific plant variation and on exploring plant-soil interactions and their transgenerational legacy. I have adopted a functional ecology approach coupled with experimental evolutionary biology (experimental evolution, common gardening, and reciprocal transplant designs) to investigate these topics using Arabidopsis thaliana. I am currently testing for A. thaliana local adaptation in response to population density and resource availability using populations that have evolved for the past six years within mesocosms assigned to contrasting levels of resource and herbivory (AraBreed project).
