HerbAdapt - Adaptation of understorey herbs to forest managment. In the project we investigate adaptation of understorey herbs to forest management.
Back to the wild - Combiningtransplant experiments with the resurrection approach to investigate rapidplant adaptationsWe combine the resurrection approach with transplant experiments to study rapidevolutionary adaptations to recent environmental changes in four European plantspecies. We compare plants raised from seeds stored for several decades in aseed bank with plants raised from newly sampled seeds in both controlled commongarden experiments as well as in the original populations in the field.
AsterAdapt - AsterAdapt investigates how island plants adapt and diversify in response to environmental changes, using two plant radiations on oceanic islands as models. By linking species traits, genetics, and environmental factors—alongside a drought experiment—the project aims to predict plant responses to future climate change. This multidisciplinary approach addresses key questions in evolutionary ecology and contributes to biodiversity conservation efforts, while supporting the researcher's path to scientific independence.
iCONNECT is an interdisciplinary research network exploring contemporary evolution through among-population variation (APV) in competitive ability, using the global weed Conyza canadensis as a model. Following a large-scale seed collection and greenhouse experiment in 2022, the network now supports multiple collaborative add-on studies using shared field and experimental data. iCONNECT fosters new partnerships and welcomes researchers interested in contributing to or leading their own evolutionary ecology projects.
